Junk e-mail filter or Rules?
 

I have put some domains in the Junk E-mail Filter and find that I'm still
getting mail from those domains.

Is this an indication that:

1. The Microsoft Junk E-mail Filter is crap?
2. I'm setting things up wrong?
3. Using "rules" might be more effective?

Setting it up wrong is the likely reason - most often because the To address
is in the safe list.

I would create rules for a specific domain, provided its a legit domain but
you can't get off the subscriber list etc. Don't use it for general spam
where the domain keeps changing.

Thanks for that. I cross checked the "safe" list with the "blocked" kist and
found some domains in both.

I've removed most of them from the "safe" list so will monitor the
situation.

it should work now, as long as its not sent to an address on the Safe
recipient list.

Since the Safe Sender list overrides the Blocked Sender list, nothing in the
Blocked Sender list should be in the Safe Sender list if you want to block
it.
