Customize Fields in GAL

We are running Exchange 2007 SP1 with Outlook 2007 SP1.

Is it possible to modify the fields that are displayed in the GAL? By
default, it shows Name, Title, Business Phone, etc. I'd like to remove
Title and replace it with Department. Can this be done, and if so, how?

Thanks!

I'd start with http://mostlyexchange.blogspot.com/2...e-details.html
and googling exchange outlook details template.

Thanks. That appears to deal more with the detailed address book pages and
modifications to them. What I want to do is modify the view of the address
book in Outlook 2007 though. In other words, I want to remove Title and put
Department in there.

From what I've gathered, this is simply not possible. Which seems utterly
ridiculous to me given the number of requests for this, and how easy this
should be to change. Exchange/Outlook 2007 is infinitely customizable in so
many ways, yet the address book that is used on a daily basis has no ability
to be customized at all and we're stuck with what MS decided we needed in
this view? Unbelievable.

Anyone else found a way to "hack" the address book to change the displayed
fields? I know it's not supposed to be possible, but where there's a will
there's got to be a way :)
