outlook 2003

Hallo,

I hav e a exchange 2003 servers with outlookk 2000 and outlook 2003 clients.
When i make a new user with mailbox on my server, my outlook 2000 clients
can immediatelly selct the new users in the exchange global address list.
The outlook 2003 clients have to wait a long time before they can see the
new users.

Why ?

Thanx,

Sounds like they are in cached mode, there are a few things that can be
done.
The registry can be modified so force Outlook to use the GAL instead of the
OAB, problem with this is the address book will be unavailable if the client
is offline.
The key for this is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\O utlook\Cached Mode
Parameter: DownloadOAB
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 0x00000000

The other thing that can be done from the client side is that the user can
manually download the address book.
