Default outlook 2007

I created a new message recently and when I selected attach item the
attachment appeard in the massage body.

I thought this looked cool however when I wanted to do it next time I
couldnt see how to do it!

Does anyone know how or what the implications are?

It happens when the Message format is Rich Text. The only implications are,
that if you send Rich text emails to recipients who do NOT use Outlook, then
they won't be able to see any attachment you might add.
