"Auto complete" Office/outlook 2007

Hi,

I have a problem with auto complete. We have the correct box in Advanced
email setting checked to turn Auto Complete on, but it is still not working.
Can you please tell me what I might be doing wrong?

Thank you!

A

Selecting the box is not what makes autocompletion work. Sending enough
messages to populate your autocompletion cache is.

I have been reading alot of posts on this and I'm thinking that we will have
to make a new profile. I saw the stps to do that, control panel, mail, new
profile.....but what about after that?

Did you mean to say: "I've been reading a lot.... and still don't understand
it"?

No you don't have to make a new profile. In fact, if you make a new profile,
autocomplete will start from scratch (empty). A new profile contains empty
autocomplete info.

Steps to do what? What Russ just said is that you must start sending
messages to take advantage of Autocompletion feature. The feature "Suggest
names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields" won't know what to suggest if
you have never entered anything there.

You would only have to create a new profile if you have evidence that
autocompletion is not working. You've provided none so far. Provide that
evidence.
