Question: Is there a way to make a "roll-up" or "combined view" calendar in Outlook that displays the items from all sub-calendars so that it functions like the main calendar in MobileMe and on the iPhone calendar? Many of us do that by having only one calendar and then by assigning categories to the various events. *We then create views based on those categories so that when we choose, say, the "Athletic Club" view, only those events assigned the "Athleic" category show. *When we choose the, say, "Business" view, only those events assigned the "Business" category show. *We can have as many "calendars" (which are just views of the one single calendar) as we choose. *If we want to see it all, we just use one of the default "Day/Week/Month" views. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] Yeah, I used to do it that way to. But it's a real PitA to keep track of the categories and to remember to select a category for EVERY appointment. Much easier to just click on the corresponding calendar and book stuff there. I guess what you're saying is "No, there is no way to accomplish the same thing in Outlook." |
