download message from server problem
 

Hi,

I have just installed office 2003 and I have a problem with outlook2003.

I have configured one of my e-mail account with the "leave a copy of the
message on the server" option.

Now every time I do a send/receive for this account I receive all the
messages that are left on this server, this create a new entry for each
messages.

I didn't have that problem with outlook 2003.

Help would be appreciated;

I think you mean "Outlok 2002" in this last sentence. Have you applied
Office 2003 SP2?

oups ! I mean outlook express.


I think you mean "Outlok 2002" in this last sentence. Have you applied
Office 2003 SP2?

I have installed office 2003 SP2, but I still have the problem.

any other hint ?

There have been some reports that by unchecking the "Leave on server" option
once, downloading everything, then reenabling the option, that it can start
working again. Sometimes a new mail profile can repair the issue as well.
However, Microsoft has acknowledged that the problem does still exist.

"Why don't they borrow the UIDL code from Outlook Express?" is my question.
