thanks. I have looked in all options and cant find a option to reset it to HTML.
The previous was to do with a stuck read request which is now sorted. Thanks charlie Quote:

The only option is to set it for plain text always. Are you using an
antivirus scanner on incoming mail? That will often mess up html email - you need to uninstall email integration to correct it. Note that mail already in your pst will not be fixed but newly arriving mail won't be messed up. Outlook 2003's read as plain setting is in tools, options, preferences tab, email options button. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. Thanks for the info Diane. I am using CA ISS, but interestingly, this problem only occured following a security upgrade.... i know this because when i restored the machine to an earlier date, all was visable as HTML ?
I have removed the "tick" from the "read as plain text" in the options and will wait for a HTML mail to lad in my inbox. Thanks for your help, Charlie Quote:
