How do I send a file securely?
If my company does not have encrypted email, how can I securely send a file
to someone else? This is a .pdf file created by an application, similar to the way tax software creates these files without owning Adobe Acrobat. Mich |

you really can't... a password protected zip would give you some security. A
secure webserver would also work. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. That should be secure enough, but it requires some work to make it happen. Despite the additional setup I vote for this option. -- Take |

It looks as though WinZip is my best option at this time. I had forgotten
this was an option, and it allows 256-bit AES encryption. I will also look into getting Digital IDs from thawte.com next time as suggested on other news groups. freeware - I'm tsicking with encrypted zip. But thanks for the suggestion. Mich "Brian Tillman [MVP - Outlook]" wrote in message ... "M Skabialka" wrote in message ... Even though it is encrypted? I'm confused - how is that insecure?
