can't turn off Reading Layout--no "General" box in Tools/Options
 

I'm trying to turn off the Reading Layout for attachments in Outlook, so I
don't get pages in split-screen format. The Help recommendation is to go to
Tools/Options, then to the "General" tab, and click on the command to disable
Reading Layout. I
don't have a "General" tab in my Tools/Options setup, and no other setup
shows anything about reading Layout.

The Reading layout is a Word option, not an Outlook option. Open Word and
click ToolsOptions and on the General tab, uncheck "Allow starting in
Reading Layout".

You need to go to the Tools-Options-General in Word, not Outlook. I had the
same problem at first.

The Reading layout is a Word option, not an Outlook option. Open Word and
