Multiple copies recieved.

Windows XP Pro, MS Office Outlook 2003, all updates applied to both.
From one individual, I receive seven copies of each message, rules route six
to a folder with that individuals name. One is routed to a separatele named
folder (not the inbox).

I have placed the header information from each into two different word
documents and did a Compare and Merge. There were no differences.

Of less nuisance value is that I repeatedly receive two messages from
another individual and both are palced in a folder with his individual name.
Headers in these two messages are the same.

Any possibilities.

Did you set up rules to do these steps? What do you mean by "rules" on
your exchange server?

Thanks for your response.

I set up a rule to move the incoming messages to individual folders. I have
approximately 35 other folders in which senders messages are placed that
work perfectly well.

I never mentioned "exchange server," nor do I use one. As stated, I use
Windows XP Pro with MS Office Outlook.

Do you have the "stop processing more rules" action on your rules? Not
having it under some conditions can lead to multiple copies of messages.
