Windows XP Pro SP3.
Outlook 2003 (SP3?). Windows SBS 2008 Premium Domain with Roaming Profiles & Folder Redirection. Seemingly at random, when I create new users on the server, then go and set them up on their workstations, I'll get one user who's Outlook 2003 keeps being wiped clean of all configuration settings after every logout or reboot. Once it starts happening, it will always be the same user, the same workstation, every reboot, every logout/login. Outlook will start up, run the installation wizard, then the configuration (first-run) wizard. I can go and pull up the user's Outlook data file and all the email would be there. The only issue is that Outlook will apparently pick someone at random and then force them to reconfigure at every login or reboot. Why? How do I fix this? Thanks, Fred. |

Sounds like a configuration issue for the Roaming Profile for this
particular user. Verify that the user profile is written back correctly to the server. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "F3" wrote in message ... Look at the location where you store your Roaming Profiles on the server and
see if the time of ntuser.dat is the time the user logged off. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "F3" wrote in message ...
