I am now on Outlook 2003 and few of my email html messages are coming in as
text. I've checked defaults and all seem set correctly and matched security settings with my 2000 Outlook, looked at view and text/html is greyed out and MSWord is not my editor. What am I missing? |

Perhaps the senders are using plain text for their composition?

Unfortunately not, I just moved to Outlook 2003 and when I was in Outlook
2000, it came through as html fine. Now it's just text. Can't figure it out. It's not only one email - it is various emails that used to come in as html and now all text. Also, when I was notified of your response, came in as text and clicking the
hyperlink back to the message didn't work and I had to come and find this post manually.... help... "Tom Willett" wrote: Perhaps the senders are using plain text for their composition? what folder are you reading the messages in? This is standard for the junk
mail folder and I believe messages identified as possible phishing attempts. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Let's Really Fix Outlook 2010 http://forums.slipstick.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 "LilSal" wrote in message news ![]() I am now on Outlook 2003 and few of my email html messages are coming in as text. That's because I posted in plain text from a newsreader, not the web.

It's not only one email - it is various emails that used to come in as html and now all text. The most common cause of this is scanning incoming messages with your antivirus program. If you are scanning incoming mail, uninstall your AV program and reinstall it without the mail scanning feature. You will be just as protected. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
