Default Outlook 2000 and Vista ???

No, this is a questions about Outlook. The folders I want to do is.........
DSG (Main Folder
Rugs (sub-folder under DSG)
Mohawk (subfolder under Rugs)
Tamarin (subfolder under Rugs)
I could do this in the old Outlook Express.Found I can do with Vista Mail
bit when I add a subfolder I have to go through all the folders and
subfolders.
In OE6 I could just go the main folder and then put it in a subfolder. All
the
main folders stayed closed. I was told Outlook would do this.
Thanks !

Brian, I didn't see an where I could add personal Local Folders and then
do
a msg
rule to put an incoming e-mail into a specific folder ?

If this is a question about Windows Live Mail, then you'll need to ask in
the WLM newsgroup.

Also, is my e-mail on my hard driver like Outlook Express or the MS
servers
?

Yes and yes.

This is what I was trying to accomplish in Outlook but couldn't do it.

You started asking about Outlook 2000 on Vista and you've been cautioned
that that may not work reliably. You can certainly access Live Mail using
POP, which will download messages to your local folders. Configure
Outlook to leave copies of messages on the server and you'll have them in
both places. You won't be able to access the Live Mail calendar or
contacts, however.

To add a folder use FileNewFolder and add it anywhere in the tree you wish.
To create a rule to put a message in a folder, use ToolsRules and Alerts.
There is an action for moving a message to a folder. You can specify any
folder in your tree by expanding the tree and selecting the one you want. Is
this what you mean? Keep in mind you may run into problems with Outlook 2000
on Vista, but I don't think this is an area that has problems.

Default Outlook 2000 and Vista ???

Thanks for everyone for trying to help.
I gave up on making this work and went back to my XP laptop.
I was able to change the ram between the two so now my XP runs just as
fast.
