I'm running Vista 32 and Outlook 2007 quits after a few minutes and
restarts. I tried several "fixes" that were not fixes including running the Office 2007 repair routine. That has not worked. I have been using this program for well over one year on the same computer. The problem has been happening for the last two or three weeks. Please help me fix this. Thanks |

Is there an error message when it quits? Have you scanned the PST for
errors? Is Outlook fully patched and up-to-date? Have you checked your Application Event Viewer for Outlook or Office-related errors? wrote in message ... The only error message is "Outlook has stopped working."
All programs on my PC are up-to-date. I have not scanned the PST for errors because I don't know how nor do I know what PST is. Guess I need help with that. The same is true for the Application Event Viewer. |

Great info on your PST file he
http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/aboutpst.htm Including how to repair it. As for the Application Event Viewer, (not sure what O/S you're using or even what version of Outlook) right-click My Computer and scroll to Manage. It's under System Tools. Please advise your version of Outlook, the type of mail account you have, and your O/S (operating system). wrote in message ... The only error message is "Outlook has stopped working." Thanks for your help.
It took a while to the scanpst.exe, but after going to Microsoft I found its location (searching my hard drive for the file did not reveal the location). I ran the program and it corrected the errors, so I hope that's it. Again, it's nice to know there are nice people, like you, who will help others. |

If you found an error, please scan again. When scanpst finds no further
errors, then try using Outlook. Let me know how it goes. wrote in message ... Thanks for your help. I thought the problem was licked, but it seems to have a life of its own.
I even run the scanpst.exe before using outlook 2007, but it hasn't helped. This problem is driving me nuts. I thought it might have something to do with checking for email every five minutes when online; now I'm not so sure. My PC is running Vista 32. If you have any ideas, I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thanks |

Now if you are not able to fix the errors using scanpst.exe, then only one option is left. that is going for Outlook recovery tool.
it will shun away all the errors cropping up., http://www.outlookrepair.net/ ![]() |

Open Outlook in safe mode:
Start Start Search outlook.exe /safe Note the space between outlook.exe and /safe See if Outlook behaves then. Re scanpst.exe - if you ran it and it found errors to repair, please run it again. When it finds no further errors on a scan, then it's completely repaired. wrote in message ... I thought the problem was licked, but it seems to have a life of its own.
