Hi All,
I am using windows xp home sr3 and outlook 2003. A friend sent me an attachment but, I can't open it. Outlook says to check security settings. What settings do I need to change so I can open this attachment? Any help is most appreciated. thanks, -- Regards, Gary Metzler send to: http://www.outtasighttravel.com Msn messenger: Skype name: garymetz |

What is the exact content of the error message? Can you save the attachment
to your desktop and open it from there? What type of attachment is it? "Gary Metzler" wrote in message ... Hi All, I am using windows xp home sr3 and outlook 2003. To open an attachment, you need to have installed an appropriate program for it--either the same program that created the file or one compatible with it. It's highly likely that you don't have an appropriate program to open it. So what type of file is the attachment? Tell us its extension--the last three or four characters in the file name, after the dot. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003 Please Reply to the Newsgroup |

Hi Kathleen,
Here is the message I am getting: Note: To protect against computer viruses, e-mail programs may prevent sending or receiving certain types of file attachments.
