After many years, I finally found the time to install Outlook. I'm trying to wean myself off AOL, and will eventually switch to a different e-mail server.
In the meantime, I have installed Outlook 2000, and followed the directions on several installation tutorials, all of which gave pretty much the same info. At the end, they state the following: "Go to the IMAP tab and make sure that 'Store special folders on IMAP server is not checked'." The only things in my IMAP are Root Folder Path, which is blank (I have no idea what to type there), and "Check for new messages in all folders," which is unchecked. It then says to "Click OK, close the Internet Accounts window, and choose 'Yes' to download the AOL folders list." I'm not given this option, and no amount of searching Outlook or the 'Net has revealed the answer to my dilemma. In summation, I need to know how to download my AOL e-mail folders into Outlook 2000. Thank you!~Fuchsia |
