IMAP and Spam - Set up
I just changed to IMAP and the Outlook 2003 spam filter that was working so
well for the POP account seems not to apply to the IMAP account (same host.) If I retreive mail only with the IMAP settings all sorts of spam arrives and stays in the in-box. If I then turn on the POP settings and re-retrieve the same mail, it arrives and the spam starts flying into the junk folder. Are there separate settings somewhere or does Junk Mail have to be pointed to the IMAP.mail. name.com ? |

I currently am having similar porblems in attempting to get my new Outlook IMAP configuration to recognize my Junk Mail Filter which I have set to HIGH. I have had Outlook installed for 5 days. I originally had the Filter set to LOW and was getting no mail in my Junk Mail Folder. I then set it to HIGH a couple of days ago. Still nothing in my Junk Mail Folder. E-mail in and out are working fine in Outlook. I am getting several hundred Junk Mails a day currently. I have started a Blocked Senders List; which now has several hundred entries in it. Still nothing is reaching my Junk Mail Folder. Can you provide me with some guidance in this matter? Thanks, Ron |
