problem reverting to 2003 from 2007beta
I can't wait for the final release, but I need more stability right now.
I Uninstalled 2007b through Add/Remove progs. I also uninstalled windows desktop search. I was then prompted to insert the original 2k3 media when I started excel. That fixed all of the apps except Outlook (as far as I can tell). Outlook crashes on startup and reports to MS then offers to start in safe mode. It crashes repeatedly unless i cancel or choose safe mode. It also crashes when I create a new profile. I've tried reinstalling Outlook and Office completely. What might be the problem? Can I fix outlook without formatting my HD? |

Hi,
Since Outlook doesnt crash when you work on Safe Mode, try renaming the following files- extend.dat frmcache.dat views.dat outcmd.dat Also, do run a Detect and Repair from the Office 2003 Disc. It should help you out.. Thanks, Mittu "CK" wrote: I can't wait for the final release, but I need more stability right now. I Uninstalled 2007b through Add/Remove progs.
