Set Outlook 2003 but getting 'find outgoing mail server cancelled'
 

Hi!

i have just formatted my pc & re-install WinXP & Office 2003. When setting
my Email account in Outlook & running 'Test Account Settings' i'm getting the
following Error:

find outgoing mail server (SMTP) -cancelled
find incoming mail server (POP3) - cancelled

My Server information & email account settings are surely correct, as it's
not the first time that i have set outlook, even Outlook 2003.

any ideas what could be causing this problem?!?

A too strict firewall or a virus scanner that integrates with Outlook are
most often the cause of it.

i have uninstalled McAfee & also disabled the Windows Firewall but still not
working!!

i have tried with another email client, not Outlook & it works fine without
any problems.
