How can I open an email with just one click of the mouse?

I would like to set up my mouse so that I click once and my email will open.
When I go to the Control Panel, click on mouse settings, I have the option of
setting the speed of the double click. Is there another setting that I can
use?

Any suggestions?

How can I open an email with just one click of the mouse?

Single click opens it in the Reading Pane. Any specific need to open the
message in full all the time?
