how do I set my default email account
We have a server using SBS2003 with 3 workstations on XPpro. We are using
Outlook2003. We have access to the internet from the workstations and when we send an email it is always outside our own LAN. We never send email to ourselves, therefore we want our internet service provider email account to be the default email account for sending email, not the Microsoft Exchange Server. How can I change the default account to be used, please ? Thanks ... Roger |
how do I set my default email account
If the Exchange server is running on Microsoft Small Business Server 2003,
users with non-Exchange accounts in the same profile as the Exchange account may see the default mail account always revert to the Exchange account, regardless of the user’s previous choice. A registry entry is available to prevent the SBS login script from changing the transport order: Key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SmallBusinessServer\Client Setup Value Name: NoTransportOrder Value Type: REG_DWORD Value: 1 See http://www.slipstick.com/problems/defaultacct.htm for more information.
