Suppressing Out of Office Message to specified addresses.
Certain incoming emails (especially from mailing lists) do not need an Out of
Office response from Outlook, as this only triggers a further auto response from the sender, which then triggers another o-o-o response from Outlook etc etc....... How do I formulate a rule for the o-o-o-assistant, telling it not to respond to certain addresses? |

You cannot configure a rule for the Out of Office assistant as it is server
based, not client based and server based rules always run first. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. This is a surprising omission (to me). We have transferred from Lotus Notes,
and this "facility" was available on Notes. (As was the ability to set the o-o-o message to run only between certain specified dates - this enabled you to set it in advance so that you didn't forget to switch it on in the last minute panic before going on holiday!)
