Search Mode
 

In the "look for" drop down box of the search mode, the last few searches are
saved.
But they eventually become cleared and I cannot identify the trigger for
their clearance.
Does anyone know what it is and can it be controlled by the user so that
search items remain in the dropdown until the user (not the system) clears
them
