Sending Email with DSL

I put in WiFi foe a short stay with a relative. It works well recieving but
not on send. It is a DSL line by Sprint. Why would they block the send path?

I am using Outlook 2000 and can not send messages when using the DSL line;
however, sending is fine on a dial up connection. I can receive messages on
both DSL and dial up. The error message recieved is unable to connect to the
server error number 0x800ccc0e. Any suggestions?

You need to use their SMTP server unless your own SMTP uses an alternate
port. This allows them to better monitor potential spam sent by infected
computers.

They don't. What's probably happening is that you're not properly
authenticating to the outgoing server.
