2 personal folders

hi folks

i just moved over to Office 2003 from XP and have started using Outlook
2003, after importing all my pst data from the other machine according to the
famous slipstick tut. all is fine, except that in my "all mail folders" - i
have 2 "personal folders" listed - and they are both exactly the same. i have
other PSTs listed there, and they seem fine. Its just my main folder that
seems to appear twive - with all the subfolders, junk sent, outbox etc (one
had the outlook home icon, and is right at the top, the other has the mail
folder icon).

is this how it should be? if not, how can i fix this?

thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure slipstick doesn't recommend using either Import or Export to
move / reconnect the pst, as this often leads to loss of data and or a
corrupt profile.

you're right, they didnt, and i didnt say they did.

either way, thats not what i;m focusing on in my question. my questions
focuses on having 2 "personal folders" (which are in fact 2 instances of the
same thing) in my mail section.

thanks anyway.

This has resulted in a corrupt profile, follow the 'how to link'

I dont know about the multilingual stuff.
However the versions prior to OL2003 use a differnt pst format ie none
unicode. It may be that you need to add your origonal pst to the profile,
then in OL2003 create a new data file in unicode/2003 format then copy stuff
from the old to the new.
