Outlook was unable to send/recceive due to a "Data Error (cyclic redundancy
check)" related to the file in C:\ ... \Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook1.pst. I isolated, then removed the offending file. Now Outlook will not open. I have repeatedly uninstalled Outlook and the entire Office suite, then reinstalled them from the installation CD. Still, Outlook will not open because of the missing "Outlook1.pst" file. How can I get Outlook to function again? |

Hi imethey,
you deleted the "Outlook1.pst" file? If yes, then you could create a new Outlook profile: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829918/en-us -- Oliver Vukovics Share Outlook without Exchange: Public ShareFolder Share your contacts, calendars or e-mails http://www.publicshareware.com "imethey" schrieb im Newsbeitrag news ![]() Outlook was unable to send/recceive due to a "Data Error (cyclic redundancy check)" related to the file in C:\ ... \Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook1.pst. Now Outlook will not open. Of course not. You removed the file it wants. If you have Outlook 2002 or later, create a new PST with the Mail applet in Control Panel. Add it to your mail profile with the Data Files buttin in that same applet. I have repeatedly uninstalled Outlook and the entire Office suite, then reinstalled them from the installation CD. Reinstalling Outlook doesn't do anything with the data files and is pointless. -- Brian Tillman |
