How to copy ALL Outlook's 'knowledge' to another PC.
I use the word' 'knowledge' to signify Outlook's email settings, signatures
etc. I know I can import a PST file but that only imports Inbox, Sent, Deleted etc folders and not say email accounts. Am I missing something in the IMPORT wizard? Thanks. -- Regards Tom |

Never export to or import from a PST you will lose data. Whether or not you can move your account data depends on which version of Outlook you use and you decided that information wasn't important. -- Brian Tillman |

Why shouldn't you use Import/export PST? We used that all the time at the
last place I worked. We would export to a PST, delete and recreate their account on their PC, and then import from the PST. Doing so always cleared up any issues Outlook was having. This worked for 2002 and 2003 versions. Thanks. It works just fine as long as you are willing to part with the following
information each time you do it: 1. Custom Forms 2. Custom Views 3. Connections between contacts and activities 4. Received dates on mail 5. Birthdays and anniversaries in calendar 6. Journal connections 7. Distribution Lists Copying and reusing a PST file will preserve all of these. That is why we do not advise people to import a native file into Outlook. Also, if you are trying importing to create an entire default PST file, you will corrupt your profile. Your choice. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "JCat_3" wrote in message ...
