Outlook cannot connect to incoming (POP3) server -Office 2007 Stan

I recently installed Office 2007 Standard (Trial). Since then I cannot
receive emails. I always get the same error message:

Task '[email protected] - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108): 'Outlook
cannot connect to incoming (POP3) e-mail server.

I am using exactly the same configurations I used and, that worked, in
Outlook 2003. It was a clean install and all profiles were created from
scratch.

Any help would be appreciated.

Outlook cannot connect to incoming (POP3) server -Office 2007 Stan

I am having the same exact problem. Everything worked fine in Office 2003.
I received 5 new machines with Vista and Office 2007 and with the same exact
settings I cannot receive mail. I can send, but that's it.

Any suggestions are appreciated

Windows firewall is off and anti virus software is unistalled
