Here's a solution from Mr MTA, a GENIOUS! this worked for me and I bet this
will work for you!:
I experienced the same error today , i could not start any office program
with my user butr was able to start the Office apps with the loacl
administrator account .
I exported the registrykey while logged on as administrator (in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office i exported the 11.0 key )
then i logged on as normal user and deleted the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0 key after i removed it i
imported the key exported under the administrator account. after this i could
succesfully start all office applications.
