Default Outlook 2007 Help Files

Finally got Office Pro 2007 installed after it completely screwed up Office
Pro 2003. Outlook 2007 seems to be functioning with the exception of no help
files. When I click HELP, I get the table of contents. When I click on a
topic nothing happens. Any suggestions?

Heya JKB - I can't really help with the help files thing, just
wondering if you have a copy of Outlook 2007 (or the Office 2007 Beta)
that you might be able to point my way - every time I try install it
here it doesn't work, yet the 2007 Office Trial (minus Outlook - huh ?)
goes in fine !

Paul,
I think the major problem with this program is that Microsoft doesn't give a
lot of the needed info to download and install. For example they don't
mention that 2003 can co-exist with 2007 with the exception of Outlook. That
is what screwed me up so bad. Try this. After you download the program and
extract the files you should get to a screen that gives you 2 choices-INSTALL
and CUSTOMIZE. Click on CUSTOMIZE. You should get to a screen with 4 tabs at
the top. Choose the tab that says OPTIONS. This is where you have to do some
thinking to make the right choice. Remember you can always uninstall the 2007
trial and start again. I have gotten to the point that Outlook is now
installed and sending and receiving email but I don't have any help
files.Remember, also, that this is not supposed to be a beta program. You can
buy it at the end of the 60 day trial. HTH

Just about to give it a try - also I realised there's a 2nd download,
which seems to contain Outlook, but asking me to install 2007 Outlook
first before it can put the version with Business Contacts in (I chose
the Pro version for that)

I tried the second download to see if the help files might be there. They
weren't. It just seems to contain Business Contacts and the Accounting
program. I didn't install it. Didn't seem to matter.
