Creating hyperlinks in outlook 2003

Our office just installed Outlook 2003 (from 2002) and now I am no longer
able to add hyperlinks (I think) in my outgoing messages. Any help would be
appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your time.

What stops you? Do you mean you can't type in a URL?

Sorry, I should have been more specific.

If I remember correctly, when I was using 2002 I could click on "Insert",
then "Hyperlink" and it would let me pick (browse) a file or a website to
become the hyperlink. I didn't have to type anything in. Also, when I clicked
"Insert", then "File", then a specific file, I could insert "as an hyperlink"
by using the drop down list next to "Insert". In 2003 these options don't
appear to me.

I am using the "HTML" option in mail format. I understand that the "Rich
Text" option is not widely compatible when e-mailing to outsiders. I don't
want to cause any e-mail reception problems.

I am also using Word 2002, if that makes any difference.

Thanks again.

Right-click the body of the message and choose Hyperlink. Does that do what
you want?

Brian,

I tried but wasn't given the option to hyperlink. Howerever, I just had Word
2003 installed and I am using it as my e-mail editor. I am now able to insert
hyperlinks. It is now an option under "Insert".

Thank you very much for your time in trying to solve my (and many others)
problem(s).
