Default Outlook Issue

I am trying to add a second mailbox for a user by going throught the advanced
tab and adding it. It allows me to add the mailbox but when I try to expand
the folders it does nothing and the + sign disappears. Does anyone have a
clue what could be causing this? My exchange administrator told me that this
individual does have rights to that mailbox.
