Hi all,
I have read through this entire section but noone brings up my problem. I have a number of machines in our company that do not have the Text Size option under the View drop down in Outlook. This IS an option under IE. These machines vary in configuration, some have all the latest and greatest, some are useing IE6, some are Server 2003, some are XP Pro. We have looked everywhere to find how to add this option to the drop down, with no results. Any help out there? Thks. D |

In which panes do you want to be able to change the text size? You certainly don't give much detail concering your problem -- Brian Tillman |

Some Outlook 2003 installs have it and some don't. The ones that have it allow the user to change the font size in the messages in thier inbox and while they are composing. Other than what I have said in my original message, what additional info do you require? D |

Just to clarify, are you referring to the View menu on the main Outlook menu
bar or the View menu on an open/new message menu bar? I find no Text Size option in the main Outlook View menu. I DO find a Text Size option in the View menu of open/new email messages that DO NOT use Word as the email editor. I DO NOT find a Text Size option on open/new email messages that DO use Word as the email editor. If you are, indeed, referring to the View menu on an email message window, the Text Size option appears to be controlled by the choice of editors; it is available with Outlook's default editor and NOT available when Outlook is using Word as the editor Hal -- Hal Hostetler, CPBE -- Senior Engineer/MIS -- MS MVP-Print/Imaging -- WA7BGX http://www.kvoa.com -- "When News breaks, we fix it!" If I use Outlook 2003 as my mailer I seem to be able to set the text size of
the list of messages in the current folder BUT NOT the size of the text of incoming messages. If I use Outlook Express as my mailer I can increase the size of the text in the incoming email (sometimes) BUT NOT the size of the list of messages in the current folder. Is there a way I can HAVE BOTH increased in size? For some reason Microsoft Office seems to use Tahoma 8pt as the default and I find this too small. S. |
