Default someone is using my email

I am continually receiving emails stating that a continual number of emails
that I have sent (only I didn't send them!) "could not be delivered" - the
mail delivery system says that they are from MAILER-DAEMON@ but the latter
part of the email address is different each time -
" etc - I am continually adding to
"Actions - Junk mail options - blocked senders" but I now realize that this
is a waste of time as every sent address is different. How can I get rid of
them? Thanks

I too am suffering from this. I however noted that in nearly all cases,
although the adress of the sender changes, the first part of the address
(before the"@") that it's being sent to (me!) is not one that I've set up or
use. I've therefore set up the following rule to filter these out as follows:

"Apply this rule after the message arrives
through the [name1] account
and on this machine only
move it to the [deleted items / junk e-mail] folder
except with ["name2@" or "name3@"] in the recipients address"

where [name 1] is the account name after the "@" in your address and [name2]
[name3] etc are the valid email user names that you have set up on the
[name1] accounte.g. mary, john.

Multiple versions of the above to cover more than one account can of course
be set up.

While this won't lessen the volume of spam, it should help manage it more
effectively.

Oh, and the deleted items / junk e-mail folder is your choice. I ran if for
a week or so putting items in the junk folder to make sure it worked OK and
then changed it to the deleted items folder
