I'm in a bit of a jam. I have an eMachine, which just died. Powerpack but I
purchased a new PC, Compaq, and I installed the hard drive as a secondary drive and transferred all my files, including pst files for outlook. For some reason I'm unable to re-create my outlook account and I'm missing a great deal of emails, drafts, contact list, address book, etc. etc. I've attempted to use the Files and Settings Wizard but that does not work because I cannot attach to the old PC because it doesn't work. I have the Hard Drive from the old pc and everything on it. Other than pst files, what other files should I look for or am I missing??? Desparate! |

Hi,
The Outlook pst files contains all your data pertaining to contacts/emails/notes etc. So you will have to run a search on your old hard-drive for *.pst making sure the search checks all hidden directories as well. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287070 Unless you have the old pst file, it would be hard to obtain the old data.
