Resetting the "Tasks" view
One of our users changed "something" in the Tasks view, and is now presented
with the "Outlook encountered an error and needs to close" message when selecting the "Tasks" folder. After submitting the error, a "more info" link is present; but this points to a web page stating that "Office System" is the cause of the problem (We don't have any Office System functionality installed) ? Is there a way to reset the "Tasks" view to prevent Outlook from crashing ? Relevant Information Version: Outlook 200 10.6515.6817 SP3 The following is logged in the Application Event Log: Source: Microsoft Office 10 Type: Error Event ID: 1000 Description: Faulting application outlook.exe, version 10.0.6626.0, faulting module outllib.dll, version 10.0.6515.0, fault address 0x0003aadf. |
Resetting the "Tasks" view
As is often the case I found solution/workaround just after i posted the
question :) For those interested: outlook /cleanviews did the trick. I'd still be interested to know if there's a way to *only* reset the views for a specific folder(type) ....
