Office Assistant Error

I just installed Outlook 2003 and am also currently using Office 2000. The
office assistant is showing up when I'm in Outlook, but if I try to open any
office product, I get an error saying "The office assistant could not be
started. Please repair the assistant by running Office 2000 setup and
selecting Repair Office 2000". I tried this and it seemed to work until I
opened Outlook. Then when i went back into Office, I got the same error.
Therefore, it seems to me that there is some sort of conflict between the two
programs. Has anyone else had this problem? It's not an emergency, but it
does get annoying to get the same error every time you open Word, Excel, etc
and have no way to clear it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You cannot use the Office Assistant without problems in a mixed Office
environment. The two versions do conflict.

I actually already tried to re-install the office, but it didn't solve the
problem either. Maybe because I have the 2000 version. Oh well I guess.
Thanks for trying!
