server info
 
every few minutes I loose the server info in the accounts settings. it keeps
reverting to "local host". I have to re-type the incoming mail server info
constantly. the out going stays correct.

Sounds like you're using an anti-virus application that operates by
installing its own server to download and process your mail. Outlook then
connects to that local server as localhost.
