How do I get rid of Business Contact Manager
Hi, Since purchasing my upgrade to Office 2007 (Standard) I have not been
able to get Outlook to work at all. I have trawled through the fourm and tried every suggestion that seemed in any way relevent. I recently discovered when I went to control pannel, add remove programmes that there is Business Contact Manager listed there - I had small business 2003 installed before. I though ah ha this must be what is causing the problem! so I pressed the remove button but got up a message that says that some components are missing cannot be un-installed. Is there anyway that I can get rid of this, or the files that may be causing Outlook not to work? I would quite like to have outlook back! Thanks |

What do you mean exactly when you say Outlook doesn't work at all? Does it
even load? Have you tried running it in Safe mode? -- Jocelyn Fiorello MVP - Outlook *** Messages sent to my e-mail address will NOT be answered -- please reply only to the newsgroup to preserve the message thread. *** "Hanadaga" wrote: Hi, Since purchasing my upgrade to Office 2007 (Standard) I have not been able to get Outlook to work at all. How do I get rid of Business Contact Manager
Sorry I didnt explain that part very clearly. However last night I
uninstalled everything, downloaded a trial of Business Contact Manager which added the comonents that were required to Remove the programme then reloaded 2007. When I open Outlook the first message I get reads; The extension configuration file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\ADDINS\msspc.ecf" cannot be installed. There is an error in the syntax or format of the file. Error in configuration file "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\ADDINS\msspc.ecf I then have to press OK on this twice. It then brings up the next error reading; The file CRYPT32.dll is incompatiblewith Microsoft Office Outlook. Install Outlook again. Once pressed OK it asks me to send the error report and then closes. I have tried all of the various notes I could find about this on the forum to no avail. I tried removing everything that related to the office Trial and anything else that I thought my be stopping it. When I go into program files though I can see that there is still a folder for SQL Sever - could this be causing this problem?! I am totally out of ideas how to get Outlook working and I am missing it now! Thanks "Jocelyn Fiorello [MVP - Outlook]" wrote: What do you mean exactly when you say Outlook doesn't work at all?
