How do I prevent Outlook from prompting for a password ?

Outlook 2007 is *always* prompting me for a username and password. Even after
I enter it successfully, and email is downloaded/sent the next time it does a
send / receive I am prompted again.

Same here - (XP, Outlook 2007) seemingly me and thousands of other
unsatisfied Outlook users! I've tried all the 'fixes' I can find in Google
and in the Knowledge Base - all to no effect. I wish I'd spent longer
evaluating the trial before buying Office Pro 2007 with Outlook - I wouldn't
have paid for the constant interruptions to my work if I had :( Does anyone
have a new 'fix' I could try? This quest is nearly like a horrible hobby for
me now!

To fix this I ended up creating a new profile ... there has to be a better
way ;)

I'm glad that worked for you, Aaron, but unfortunately that was one of the
many things I tried that didn't :( But strangely enough, today I'm only
getting the prompt on ONE of my 4 email accounts - don't know why, but it's
an improvement. Though from what I read from other complaints online, this
could change too.

I have had the same problem for the past week. Why doesn't MS post a FIX
that works. There are hundreds of posts on the web with this same issue and
it appears to affect every version of Outlook.

I tried everything short of FDISK and they want $49 to reply by e-mail.

I just switched over to Thunderbird and also stopped using Internet Explorer
out of principal. Give FireFox and Mozilla a try... so far so good. I
wonder how much of this is driving FireFox's success.
