Versions of Outlook & Office

Can Outlook 2007 run in conjuction with Office 2000/2003? We are upgrading
our e-mail server to Exchange 2007 but all of our workstations are running
Office 2000/2003. We are thinking of buying licenses for only Outlook 2007
instead of having to purchase the whole Office 2007 suite.
