Default Cannot Get Outlook 2007 to talk to Exchange

I have been trying to get my Outlook working on Vista Ultimate. The system
is in the correct domain and I keep getting the following message, “The name
cannot be resolved. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable.
Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.”

This system is right next to my laptop (XP) that is using Outlook 2003 and
connected to Exchange. All of the properties are correct (server name) on
the Vista system.

I can ping the server from the Vista machine and I am typing in the
information in manually for the exchange server. I have tried setting
Outlook up using the setup and the mail icon in the control panel.

Do you have any suggestions on why the Vista and Outlook 2007 is not seeing
the Exchange server? Do I need to change something in Vista to see the
Exchange server properly?
