Outlook 2003 will open after install
I've just loaded Ofiice 2003 on a new Vista computer. All office apps except
Outlook 2003 seem to be working. After setting up e-mail account (the test message works) and I try to open Outlook I get the following message "Unable to open your default e-mail folders. Outlook could not start because a data file to send and receive mail could not be found. To add a data file, such as a personal folder file, double-click the Mail icon in Windows Control Panel" when I click on OK on this message, Outlook closes. When I go to Mail in the CP and look at my account on the General tab I see Outlook as the only profile. When I click on properties then data files, I don't see any data files and when I try to add one I get to the box New Outlook Data File the Type of storage box is blank and I cannot type anything in it. If I try to add a new profile in the general tab I get a message "There was an error in locating one of the items needed to complete this operation. It might have been deleted" If I search the computer for a pst file I do not find any. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this problem. I can get e-mail to work if I use Windows Mail, but really want to use Outlook . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bob |
