Mapi32.DLL
Hello
We’ve put together a system for a client consisting of a SBS 2003 server and several Vista Business workstations. We preinstalled Office 2007 trial version on all the workstations and joined the Domain. We then installed Outlook 2003 from the servers ClientApps folder and started receiving the error “MAPI32.DLL is Corrupt or the Wrong Version”. We tried several version of the DLL to fix the problem but had no luck. We then uninstalled Office 2007 and Outlook 2003 and rebooted. We deleted mapi32.dll from system32 and reinstalled Outlook 2003 from the server. Outlook 03 is now working correctly. The mapi32.dll that now exists in the system32 folder is the original file that was first giving us the problem 64K, 11/2/2006, version 1.0 2536 0. This has led us to believe that the problem is somewhere else. Is there anyway to get Office 2007 trial and Outlook 03 on the same machine in hopes that the client might purchase the full Office 07 version? Thanks Tim I didn’t receive a confirmation from the newsgroup confirming the post. We waited a while and decided to repost when did not see question displayed. This might be a duplicate post. PSS Still no confirmation. Mabye the third time will be the charm. |

To the best of my knowledge, you cannot have more than one version of Outlook on a PC at the same time in the same Operating System partition. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
