Outlook Inbox Permissions
I recently discovered that all of our users have the ability to see each
others Inbox. How do I prevent this? Is there an incorrect security setting in Exchange, or must it be changed on each users machin? Thanks |
Outlook Inbox Permissions
It may be in both the Exchange Server and individual mailboxes. Ask the
Exchange Admin to check it on the server. -- Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without reading. Outlook Inbox Permissions
Unfortunately Milly, I am the Exchange admin at the moment. My previous
admin, and MCSE is no longer here. I suspect too many permission in the Exchange box. I have been able to prevent other from seeing the Inbox by going to the Inbox permissions in properties, and adding all users withthe rights of None. Unfortunately when I close Outlook and re-enter, those permissions are gone. I appreciate your insight. Thanks- LB "Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook]" wrote: It may be in both the Exchange Server and individual mailboxes. Outlook Inbox Permissions
Then I would post to an Exchange group for specific information on your version of Exchange as to how to remove these universal permissions. Microsoft.public.exchange.admin is a good place to start. Be sure to include your versions of Outlook and Exchange.
