Default OutLook 2003

I have configured Office 2003 w/ini file and .mst and it works. I am now
trying to configure outlook with the proper mail settings like server name,
etc.
I have the custom installation wizard and other tools. Is there a
step-by-step guide?

You need to ask your ISP for their server names, port numbers, etc.

Jocelyn, we have just upgraded to Vista (..shudder) and though all of our
Office 2002 products seem to work fine, our Outlook cannot send email out. We
have been thru the ringer with Earthlink, and with their help have confirmed
that Windows Mail works perfectly fine with the exact same settings. I put a
call in to MS to see if someone there might help, especially since the MS
site LISTS Office 2002 as working just fine under Vista. Not.

Any ideas? We get "550 Please configure your mail client to use
authentication" as our constant nemesis fault.

Where did you read that Office 2002 works fine under Vista? It was my
understanding that only Office 2003 and 2007 are officially supported on
Vista, and that earlier Office programs may work but there is no guarantee.

Have you already read this article or something similar?
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...128331033.aspx (written for
Outlook 2003 but the concept applies to OL2002 as well)
