revshew,
1. If you plan to use only Outlook to retrieve email messages, and not OE. You will need to remove the email accts' settings from OE. 2. If you plan to use both then you will need to change the acct settings in both accts, to leave the messages on the server, so the other application can download the messages to it. a. But you will need to set a time period such as leaving the messages for a week or so, before they are deleted. b. Or the mailboxes will become full, based on your ISP/Mail services policies. You won't be able to receive messages into the acct, until some of the messages are removed. -- Have A Good Day Rich/rerat Add MS to your News Reader: news://msnews.microsoft.com (RRR News) message rule Previous Text Snipped to Save Bandwidth When Appropriate "shew" wrote in message ... If you don't want Outlok Express to get the messages, you must 1) stop using Outlook Express, 2) disable receiving messages for that account in Outlook Express, or 3) Remove the account from Outlook Express. I have outlook 2003, part of office SBE 2003.
What happens is that when I click the "send/receive button.," I get a message that says "send/receive complete." However, there are messages that have been sent to me and there are none in the in-box. I have removed the account from express and this is still what happens. -- revshew "Brian Tillman" wrote: shew wrote: Hi - I have just set up outlook as my email handler from previously having used express. outlook sends emails fine, but all incoming goes to express.
