I have Vista Home and Office 2007.

I am getting an error message when I try to open an E Mail in Outlook
"General Failure The URL was xxxxxxxxxxxx . Application not found."

I am also getting problems with Archive, it appears that Outlook is not
closing properly ,does anyone have the answer to this problem.

This appears to be a default browser problem. In the two cases I found by
searching, the problem was solved by setting IE to be the default browser;
in one case by using "Set Program access and Defaults", and the other using
the "Programs" tab in "Internet Options":
