Default Password Retention in Outlook 2003

You cannot retain passwords for your email accounts in Outlook 2003. One day,
they just don't work anymore. Microsoft's support article to repair this does
not work:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290684
this solution is posted all over the global internet and it doesn't work.
Registry repair doesn't work, removing your anti-virus and add-ins doesn't
work. What's up Microsoft?

You created a new profile & added the accounts or copied from old profile?
